In this unique opera’s libretto, the imagery, characters and Faustian pact enable us to imagine a staging in which magic is continuously present, thus leaving the door open to a world beyond the tangible — a liberating escape.
At the edge of different states of gravity, of deliverance from captive dreams, of transmutation of flesh into phantoms, of matter into sigh and opacity into transparency, magic is that force which transforms and shows the characters’ inner alchemy.
